unusual foot structure, reflexology odd feet

Research by the American Journal of Physical Anthropology* in to foot flexibility has shown that 1 in 13 of us has a type of foot which is ultra-bendy, due to a mid-tarsal break. Two-million year old human ancestor Australopithecus sediba also had 'floppy' feet.

Foot flexibility is tested by therapists before a reflexology treatment.

Only 2 of my clients have this extra special type of foot! This picture is of one of them (shown with the very kind permission of the owner!)
