First Appointment Information

Important information for anyone booking their first appointment at Richmond Park Therapies

Thank you for considering Richmond Park Therapies. Before requesting your first appointment, please take a few moments to read the information below.

As a specialist practice offering Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), post-surgical care and other individualised treatments, I need to review your health information before accepting your appointment.

1. Health questionnaire

All first-time clients are required to complete a New Client Health Form.

You will receive a link to the appropriate health questionnaire after submitting your appointment request through the online booking system. The standard New Client Health Form is automatically provided; clients booking Post-Surgical MLD will instead be sent a specific Post-Surgical Health Form separately.

The information you provide allows me to review your suitability for treatment and identify any relevant precautions or points that may need clarification with you or your medical team before accepting your booking.

Please complete your health form as fully as possible and submit it immediately after choosing your appointment slot.

2. Health review and payment

Once I have reviewed your completed health form and confirmed that your chosen treatment is appropriate, I will send you payment instructions.

Full pre-payment by bank transfer is required for all first appointments. Your appointment is only confirmed once payment has been received.

3. The 24-hour provisional booking period

Your requested appointment slot is held for a maximum of 24 hours.

Both your completed health questionnaire and full payment must be received within this period. Once your health form has been reviewed, payment instructions will be sent to you.

If either is outstanding after 24 hours, your provisional appointment will be automatically cancelled and the slot released for other clients.

Please only request an appointment if you are able to complete these steps within the stated timeframe. If you anticipate difficulty, please get in touch beforehand. I'm happy to help guide you through the process or discuss alternative arrangements where needed.

Follow-up appointments are much simpler: these can be arranged in person at the practice before you leave, or booked online in one straightforward step.

4. Who can make an appointment?

Appointments must generally be requested directly by the adult receiving treatment. I don't accept bookings made by partners, relatives or friends on behalf of another adult, for example as a surprise or gift.

This ensures that clients have personally expressed an interest in treatment, understand the appointment arrangements and can provide their own health information.

Where someone requires assistance with arranging an appointment, for example through a carer or authorised representative, please get in touch beforehand so we can discuss the arrangements.

5. Treatment suitability

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee that a particular treatment will be suitable.

Your health information is reviewed individually, and I may need to ask for further information or recommend medical advice or clearance before proceeding. In some circumstances, treatment may need to be modified, deferred or declined.

This is an important part of providing safe, appropriate and individualised care.

Ready to request your first appointment?

Once you have read and understood the information above, you can browse availability and submit your appointment request online.

Please remember that your appointment remains provisional until your health questionnaire has been reviewed and full payment received within the 24-hour booking period.

If you have a question about the booking process, please get in touch before submitting your request.
