Headaches: Tension or stress-related headaches are the most common type for adults. If the pain is dull and feels like a tightness or pressure around your forehead or the back of your head and neck, it's very possibly tension-related; and that's even more likely if you've been hunching over a desk or screen, or have spent a long time in a car.
Massage can get rid of that headache for you and regular massage may well prevent you getting tension headaches in the first place.
Lower Back Pain: A research study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine (2011) showed that massage therapy is actually better than drugs and standard home care for general lower back pain. Better than drugs... I just had to say that twice. Interestingly, the study also compared two types of massage (sports and Swedish) in that respect and found that there was actually no difference in the result.
Schedule a massage and get back into action.
Irritability: So cranky that you're getting on your own nerves? That's no fun. When you find yourself biting everybody's head off when they ask you a simple question, it might be time for some self-care. Massage is simply THE best for stress relief. You shut off all those things that buzz and beep and keep you on tenterhooks and are enveloped in stillness, warmth and comfort. All the crankiness disappears. It's dual purpose; you'll feel much better and all the people around you will be relieved that you are back to your sunnier self.
If you have a headache, lower back pain, or a severe case of the grumpies, get a massage scheduled and I’ll sort it out for you right away.
